Tore the sole off my shoe unclipping from my pedal today. Took it to the cobbler to get fixed; he said "should be ready by next Wednesday." Looks like I go back to toeclips and slotted cleats for now.

I have that problem as well. Wrap-around sunglasses or ski/snowboarding goggles work well to prevent it.
