I've got a '95 C'dale hybrid I use for winter riding in Minnesota, with 17,000 miles on it now. The road salt has caused corrosion in several places, which "bubbles" under the paint just like steel...

Nope. I've been riding the same Cannondale touring bike since '92 and I'm dreading the day it needs replacing, for whatever reason! We've probably got 5-6000 hours of riding together.
