I have some Xenon components. They are workable yet aesthetically unrefined. Very heavy.

That said, if you’re working them into a 9 speed setup it should be fine.

Veloce is much higher end...

I wouldn't change it. The stiff crank is a bigger change than the fork. Unless you are doing crit style corners or long climbs the steel fork's looks outweigh the weight benefit.

You should not have issues using Shimano brakes with campy levers. In fact if you use wider tires it is nice to be able to use both the releases on the brifters and the brakes to get more room.

Hard to say but chances are a 6/7 speed crank would skate a 9 speed chain. You also may want to "ramp" your large chain ring so the pickup off the small ring is smoother.
