IF you are riding to the same spot to lock up all the time I would recommend leaving two u-locks there . Put one through the rack-rear tire-frame, put the other on the front wheel around the downward...

Lock the damn thing up or just buy a cheapo bike to commute. Lock your bike up next to a bike that isn't locked up well, they will always choose the easier option to steal if they are really that...
