I believe GoPro just came out with a broadcasting device for their cameras. One can hope that these options will soon come to racing. Definitely will make things more interesting to watch.

The GoPro will come with it's own software that isn't too bad. I usually just use iMovie though. For overlaying data, try a program like Dashware.
