Saw an email come up for this thread, figured I might as well update on my long term (7 years now!) experience. I still have the plate in my shoulder, it doesn't bother...

Operation was absolutely no big deal. Shoulder immediately felt better than before (no floating around feeling, no pain from the bone ends grinding). I am off all of the pain meds as of today...

Let's hear your broken collarbone plate operation experiences..

Figured I'd post this here as we likely have a good cross section of racers who've crashed, broken their collarbones, and had a plate installed.

I found out today that I broke my left collarbone...
