Actualy both calipers are dual pivot but the new 105's are the same mechanics as the ultegra and dura ace which looks completely different than the sora. They look much meatier and work better...

Threw this on my front fork replacing a 3400...

Threw this on my front fork replacing a 3400 shimano sora brake. Big big difference. I can control my speed much better and come to an instant stop. Looks amazing in silver. 487902
