eBay purchase

they are Chinese knockoffs off of EBay that I like a bunch. Very comfortable and I think they look great. I have these on 2 other bikes, one for 5 years or so and they’ve been a solid performer.

Those brifters are for drop bars, imho they look horrible on these handlebars. Mountain bike shifters/brake handles would both look and perform way better!

Schwinn rear spacing

All the 80's Schwinn's I've experienced have 126mm spacing, and cold setting the rear to 130mm is easy peasy!

I tried to keep the original paint but it was too far gone with knicks, scratches, rubs etc. But now that I've striped and redone it, I couldn't be happier. I have a 33 year old brand new bike!

Yep, I painted it myself, with automotive base paint and 2K clear.

I'm completely satisfied with the results. It's by far my favorite bike of all time!

And yes, I'm 6'5" so the frame fits me...

Well it took me about a year, but here is my "new" bike. Was a black '83 Super Sport that I got on CL for $120. The paint was horrible and could not be saved so I went custom. What do you think?...
