This felt like one of the last warm days of the year. Out on the Minuteman Bike Path and then onto Concord for coffee and cake. Back via Rt2A and Mass Ave with a final climb up Park Ave.

The route in Woburn has some bits on fairly busy roads, but the hills are on residential roads and the ride around Winchester golf course is nice, but most stuff in Winchester is nice.

I used a Cervelo RS that I've adapted for lightweight touring by changing the gearing to 46/34 x 12/36, so I have plenty of low end gears for the climbs.

It's an 18 mile loop around Arlington, Winchester and Woburn with 1800ft of climbing.....a fair amount is above 10%. It's a good way to get a quick workout if you are in the area.

I rode the NEBC Hill ride for the first time yesterday afternoon starting in Arlington. The worst bit was my first time down Waltham Street, it's steep and twisty enough to get some adrenaline going....
