Well, you bought a frame that is too big for you with a drive train that needs to be overhauled. It was cheap, though.

buy the right size frame. I've bought a lot of too-big frames in my life, at 5'2". not worth it.

No don't do it, it's too big. 50cm bike for you. Standover is irrelevant, but you're ignoring the fact that it will be too long.
