Inexspensive replacement for RST Capa T8 24" fork

Would appreciate any suggestions. Looking to flip a boy's Trek MT240, but need to replace front fork. Have seen it for around $70. Any others?

Thanks for the info. Knowing that, I will skip the paint, repack wheel bearings and crank, replace cables and brake pads, then give it to one of the neighborhood kids.

Regardless of whether you send $50 on tune-up, would not suggest a mountain bike (using the term loosely) for a 60 mile ride. Touring or road bike much more suitable.

I would not cross over. But if I did, I would add cable housing to reduce friction. I think there will eventually be wear on the inner wire. JMHO.

I had a GT frame that had a dent about the size of a penny on the top tube. Took it to a friend who works at auto service department and one of his guys get the dent out.
