Bolt on skewers

I tried to get the nut off the axels and couldn't get them to budge! I want them tight of course but I've been reading that people are stripping the nut.

Bolt on skewers

What's your favorite brand? I'm building a cruiser and one wheel uses a skewer the other doesn't. I'm pretty picky and want matching wheels so I'm looking into bolt ons. I see Amazon has some for $14...

You guys think this spacer idea is worth a try?...

You guys think this spacer idea is worth a try? 1-1/8 tube left over from another fork. Fits snug and I'll cut it down some more to get a nice lock. I'll use two locking nuts above and below.

threaded fork, spacers vs cutting

I thought about getting some lock nuts together and use as a guide to cut the tube. I figured once I back off the nut it will also fix the threads.

threaded fork, spacers vs cutting

Does this look like too much leftover for spacers? I dread cutting the threaded fork but it's possible.

Stretched Cruiser Folks

Do you guys ride long distances? How do you carry your stuff? Seems like racks aren't a "thing" on these low lows.

Coaster Wheel Recommendations?

So right now my MTB to bmx conversion is done enough but I'd like a coaster wheel and get rid of one brake. What brands you suggest? I'm running 44:22 ratio on 26x2.4 tires. The chain is on there...

Bmx bar rust

I picked up a bmx bar from a guy locally, the bar clamp area is pretty rusted. Can I sand/grind on it or will that thin the metal too much?

Any other cruisers out there? I never run into other bike enthusiasts or people into building up cruisers. I travel to Nashville quite often and I see lots of bike folks!

Yeah im thinking this isn't for a battery set up. There is an on off switch up top that is in good shape. I wonder if it's worth the time to convert it?
