Thanks for the feedback. Much appreciate the info regarding the Durano on chip seal. It's good also to read of the Hyper as it is indeed the third option that I am considering.

Another vote for the Performance Forte ATB Comp Pedals. Around $20 when on sale. Have also used these on my 29'r as they are fairly compact and provide a bit more maneuvering room when in tight spots.
