I will check the alignment maybe it changed a little when the bike fell over sometime. It's not the shifter as it is an old 70s bike with friction shifters

cheap or free pannier hooks

if any of you ride old junker bikes often to carry stuff there are often not any panner hooks. Here is a cheap easy fix. I used an old dog chain but any light chain would do.393894393895

It just sounds like the chain is running roughly in the smaller cogs, nothing I can see is rubbing. On old and new cassette the largest 5 cogs all sound smooth. Could it be cable or angle adjustment?

I asked Yan and he said everyone wants one but no one buys. I got the maybe last one with rear derailleur in wharehouse, I added a small chainring and front der. so now have an awesome range.
