Try this... If you know you're going to get muddy, hose down the bike with WD-40 before you go. Frame, fork, etc. Then when you get home, a simple garden hose is all you'll need to wash the mud...

Way to go!!! Keep it up! I'm still trying to work the fear out of my head, and it's been more than a year and a half. Longest ride in all that time has only been about 20 nervous miles.:(
