I thought about putting some proofide on my older straps. Maybe a little bit might be ok. I assume too much will make them stretch. But then I bought new ones since those looked like crap.

The hubs are KT Quando flip-flop hubs according to specs. They look aluminum and not stamped steel. Looks ok. Its cheap but I don't think its falls into the "junk" category.

Why are fixie wheelsets which includes tires so much cheaper then road wheels? A pair of zipps plus tires/tubes = thousands.

I'm 6'1". You can adjust the height and curve. It also has a retainer at the top to hold it out of the way to it isn't smacking your head.
