Honestly I've found racing to be cheaper than going to regular t-shirt rides. 2 days of cat 5 racing at Tulsa Tough this weekend is $70. 1 day of grand fondo riding is $75.

112 is the high for the day. I've done rides at 5pm on days with a 110+ high. If you leave at the earliest time possible your time at that temp should be limited. Also given the lack of humidity...

I like how they're pretending like this is a new challenge when this really isn't that different than what tandems deal with. Maybe make drum brakes available for heavier people for downhills.
