I'm not sure I understand. Surely you could race in a TriCross. I'm just confused as to why the groupset is so much better on the Giant.

Comparing TriCross to Giant TCX 1

I'm trying to decide between these 2 bikes and with the SRAM Rival parts the TCX 1 looks like the obvious choice. Am I missing something?

Aren't messenger bags kinda floppy on a bike? I would hate to have something moving around while I'm biking. My backpack stays pretty well in one place.

Though that being said. I'm not sure that I like the Geometry of the Giant. I ride a XL (61cm) Secteur right now. I think the Tricross looks more similar. The Giant looks a bit more aggressive.

Comparing Giant TCX 1 and Specialized TriCross

Both of these are about 1900$. The Giant has SRAM Rival parts vs SRAM Apex on the Specialized. O_O Am I missing something here?

It seems like every bike I like has no eyelets :D Usually the determining factor and whether I like it is purely aesthetic. For instance. I prefer the Salsa Warbird. The carbon fork has no eyelets...

Drop bar cx/commuter with eyelets for fenders

I really like the look of the Specialized Crux but the fact that it can't take fenders for the rainy season makes it a no go. ( I don't like having a rooster tail :). Anyone know of any suggestions...

Nah I'm not really set on GT. It's just what my LBS sells. Either that or Redline/Fuji/Giant for the most part.

Thinner tires are nice but not for winter right? Same goes for the disc brakes?

What do you guys think of this bike?
I need a replacement to my Secteur for the winter. I like the looks of it. The components look pretty decent. You think I'd have much trouble throwing fenders...
