i have compact crankset as well with 11-28t and...

i have compact crankset as well with 11-28t and so far i only felt needing that 32t at some hills(13-18%) in glendale/pasadena routes...i can probably do gmr with a 25t if i really want some pain but...

already have a compact crankset so all i need is a 32 cog setup...already called incycle and quoted me about $300 installed(cog set, chain, and rear derailleur. i'll probably get it done after...

i was actually planning on switching to a 32 cog and with this suggestion of yours then it sounds like a must have for me before i hit mt baldy..current have 11-28t and struggling anything over 10%...

4.6 miles 2000 feet...now thats pretty intense...

i'll look into this...i honestly didnt find gmr that hard..it was just long..my legs and breathing was fine. only had a lower back pain but my buddy said its probably due to my saddle being to far...

whats next big climb for me? suggestions..

i usually ride griffith park > mt hollywood to observatory then go back up to mt hollywood via vista del valle dr then around the golf course. another ride is camino san rafael to chevy chase/lida...

thx for the heads up...it looks like I'll be wearing the same thing from bike the coast...long sleeve base layer, jersey, light wind/rain jacket and regular bib should be enough. here's me from bike...
