I've been using Crank Bros Candy pedals for a couple years with no problems. I like them.
(I still get nervous on technical stuff though. I would like pedals/shoes that work clipped in or not. I'm...

My bike has Shimano SLX hydraulics. I really like them. I bought it over a year ago (spring 2012). The only brake maintenance I've done has been the occasional (like once or twice) adjustment for...

Post your dirty bike pics here. (No, not that kind of dirty :p) I know plenty of you have seen worse than this.

(Is there a thread like this already? If so, I'm sorry. I'll delete this and post...

On my Giant Trance - which also does not have ISCG tabs - I'm using a Blackspire 32T chainring. The guide (definitely a necessity around here) is an E.13 XCX. I ordered the low clamp version first,...

No, I know about no-net. This trail was before you get to no-net (if you're going counter-clockwise, anyway) and didn't really connect to anything else. This map is a bit out-dated, but I drew the...

ah. I didn't realize you were new here. The jumps I saw were on a trail off-shoot just before a tennis court. That was last fall. It might be all closed off now. I haven't been to Cherokee in a few...

Cherokee is also my "home" trail. It is not DH. There are some DH-like sections (those are the fun parts:)), but no big jumps or drops like you'd find at Whistler, etc.

I finally got a new guide (also single-ring bolts). It's the same as the other one, except it's the high mount version.
The angle is off because the clamp is on the bend in the seat post. It can't...

No issues with the chainstay, just the guide. There are no clearance problems running the ring spacers without the guide. The spacers fix the chain line. The issue is that the guide won't fit that...

I just deflated the shock (hadn't thought of that before, thanks) and checked the clearance like you said. It actually fits ok and would keep the chain on, but it can't go as low as I want. I'm...

 I'm glad you caught that before I took it on a trail. The derailleur is low-clamp so I assumed the guide should be too. I'm going to return it and get a high-clamp. I may check with my lbs to...

I'm 30 minutes into it and it's not as bad as I expected. I actually like it. It's definitely 80's cheesy, but then it was made in the 80's so that's ok.
I was about a year old when it came out so...

I recently "discovered" O'Bannon Woods. It's pretty rocky in some sections. I...

I rode my regular trail today using only the middle ring and I'm pretty much sold on 1x10. It was great! I had no trouble at all. My average speed was actually higher than usual. The whole...
