I agree! I'm still dreaming of a viable pedal-assist option for my very hilly, 36 mile roundtrip (occasional) commute. I hesitate to plunk down 2 or 3X more for a BionX kit, and I can only guess that...

Santa is bringing me the Ortlieb Office bag large (but I snuck a look!). It's a briefcase and looks professional (another teacher here), but has the rolltop waterproof top and the Q3 quick release....

I test rode a "new" 2010 Trek FX+ from my LBS as a potential commuter for my 18 mile hilly ride to work. The LBS put a new battery on it just months before. I fully charged it before my test ride....
