Ah, I see what you mean. These are like the 1993 catalog, not the 1992. So maybe more like generation 1.5? The alloy bodied record/chorus shifters seem to be commonly called 1st generation.

1st Generation Campagnolo Record 8 Speed Ergo Shifters (Brifters)

A nice pair of 8 speed Ergo levers. 1st generation with the aluminum bodies - these can be polished up Drillium Dude style. I only rode them for a few miles, but they shifted cleanly.
