BGI is a nice shop. It's big, so lots of stock. Call ahead if there is something you are looking for in particular. I've bought a couple bikes there. Giant, Trek, Cannondale are the big three.

I think the Yakima is the best of all the factory bar systems. Thule doesn't lock to the bar, and Rocky Mounts head piece is the size of a pizza. Yakima uses a locking skewer, the rack is adaptable...

It's a cyclocross crank, unless it's a cyclocross frame and you plan on doing some cyclocross, I would go with a standard 50/36 or 50/34 compact.
