Back in 2007, Cat 4 Schooley's road race , hilly circuit race with a ~8 minute rather steep climb, I dropped the pack on the 2nd lap of the climb, took a wrong turn... got back on course, caught...

I know the race already happened (or did it?) but if its a TT and they say "mass start legal" then I'd go for your Giro advantage 2 (or similar). Did you see other people wearing them?

Oh yeah, now that you mention it, the hotel has a free shuttle, 5 mile radius, so i'd just need to confirm the shop has a rental before venturing out. :)
