Very true, and there's a clutch built into the fixing mechanism so that you CAN steer with great effort should you forget. Not ideal, but lots better than totally locked up no matter what!

I figured it out. There was a locknut in the package that I thought went on top of everything, but it actually installs INSIDE the headset. It's installed now, thanks.
