So it turns out that the chainrings were indeed...

So it turns out that the chainrings were indeed the culprit! Brand new rings and it rides awesome!

Trying to figure out brand an info on these pedals. They are titanium spindle and only 187 grams. Seller on eBay doesn't have a clue.

That makes quite a lot of sense. I appreciate the info and I suppose saving 40 grams (and spending $50 more) isn't worth a nasty spill. Pista SL will do for me. Thank you much!

So I'm looking at either Campagnolo Superleggera pedals for my road bike or Campagnolo super record titanium spindle pedals. I have found a local seller who has both for around the same price....
