Awesome! Glad you made it. Sounds like you hit a lot of the cliches on the first day. Kids, motorists, mechanical issues, storage issues. You'll be a seasoned commuter by the time spring rolls around.

If it's a (private) beach community I don't blame them. They were probably sick of all the tourons (that's tourist + morons) rolling around on their beach cruisers. Just a possibility.
