this is not the case here... I can install the spoke but as I tighten it it starts to become too long and is crowds the tube... enough that it will pop the tube...

you don't. There are ways to cleanup without needing a shower. but even for a short commute I prefer riding in bike specific attire changing into work...

yup, I used to mess up a lot of tubes because of them.... I finally would install them without a tube which would stretch them a bit, then re-install with a tube.

yeah, but who wants to go slower from a heavier bike? I am not fast, and I know that my road bike doesn't make much difference in speed for my commute, but I do like how it feels...

yes anything is possible but i am not quick to join a cult. i would also recommend research on youtube. you can find a few videos on bike fit to at least see what is involved.

I have never had a "professional fit" service and haven't missed it... If I was racing then maybe, but you can use the normal approach to fit a bike without having to get bike shop people involved...

I would consider that I got my moneys worth out of the panasonic and buy new... now if money was an issue, then I would repair the old bike. In fact, I have 3 bikes and recently purchased a new road...
