This works great. I use the thinner stuff for cable chafe points and the thicker stuff on chainstays. It will also conform around the bottom bracket to protect it from dropped chain damage.

The seat post, seat, cranks, and brakes were the only things still original on the bike if Vintage Cannondale was right. I think I had an 1982 Peugeot that had the same seat post.
