I have used both Omega V and Open Pro. The Campagnolo rims are nicer (in my opinion).
The Open Pro's seems to last much shorter than the Omega's.

The Chorus A/B derailleur is not Ergopower compatible, it was from the 6-7 speed era.
You will have to get an 8 speed derailleur with the Ergopower.

On all my other bikes I use neither, I don't see any reason to use them.

It is nice ride, Wicklow is beautifull. I enjoyed it very much, even though it was quite hard climbing up for me.
That steel bikes become fatigued after 3 years is not true.

Record, Chorus and Athena were polished, Veloce (and lower) were not polished.
The Chorus and Record had a oiler ring.
This one looks polished and does not...

I did the Wicklow 200 10 years ago on a a vintage bike without any problem.
I did use a triple chainset as it is a bit hilly.
Dublin Bike Man's bikes do seem a bit expensive.

Derailleur is a first generation Chorus, not compatible with 9 speed index.
Front brake is also 1st generation Chorus.
Rear brake is a later (cheaper) one, probably Mirage.
