I've been using a Pioneer dual leg setup for the last month (with the computer) and it's been flawless so far.

The setup is less clean than Stages, but I'll trade that for reliability.

On my second unit now via a warranty with the new gen Stages, connected to an edge 500. Data (cadence/power) drops out constantly on the warranty...

I was definitely bummed out, but I heard the race was fairly sketchy with a few early crashed so it may have been for the best.
