Yes, there is a lot of excess steer tube left over, even if you want it set relatively high. Even if you biff it a bit (cut a bit on angle, restart), you will be fine. It is really fun to put it all...

I had the select road wheels and I was surprised how much lighter ultegra/sun rims combo was, even with 10 or 12 more spokes per....

Tried the rubber mallet but it was a no-go. Regular hammer popped them right out.
