Agreed. The Dakota will also interface with the same speed/cadence and HR monitors that the Edge 205/305/605/705 used also. And there's a bike mount made by Garmin for it.

It really also depends on the caliper mounting. Lots more manufacturers these days are putting them in the chainstay/seatstay junction which allows you to use a regular rack.
