Thats a thought. I wonder what would be permanent type dye that wont rub off. I did try your Simple Green / water mix for cleaning the frame and it worked really well.

I would think that combo should work just fine. While maybe not ideal it should work. Depending on the current crank gearing you may need to lengthen or shorten the chain....

Knock on carbon but so far it has held up very well. No scratches or rub marks but it does show grease easy and its a little harder to get the grease off then my glossy bikes.
