I used to use my vise as well, the downside is that I need to clear off the clutter on the workbench to make room for a frame to pivot. The bench vise is unbeatable for removing freewheels too.

The Rockhoppers that I used in that configuration were my most successful drop bar MTBs, I'll bet the Stumpjumper is a great rig :thumb:

Thanks Papa Tom, the tires are CST Cyclops (26x2.4 I think.) Not sure if they're still available, but they're really heavy - I traded them out for Schwalbe Big Apples eventually.

Looks great! I ran cruiser bars on my Rockhopper for a while, it took a little effort to get used to the "tiller" steering feel that that bar/stem combo gave me, but it was fun to ride.
