L.A. Beach Bike Path and Ballona Creek Bike Path!
I still have my old Minoura work stand, and it is still a POS. I thought I was the only one who thought so. Glad to hear that everyone else hates it too. I just never got around to throwing it out....
It sure looks clean! Good catch!
Almost all of my bikes are Japanese, as you can tell by my sig. That was all I could afford back in the eighties, when I bought most of my bikes. They were great bikes for the money, and a friend of...
That's a damn nice bike for FREE!!!!!!
As I recall, Vitus was probably considered cutting edge stuff in 1987. $2100 was top bucks for a bike in those days!
You don't see too many Diamondback road bikes. If I'm correct, Diamondback mountain bikes and Centurion road bikes were the same company, but they only marketed their road bikes with the Diamondback...
That is a sweet rig, and it's my size! I'm going to watch that one.
I have one, but it's at least 20 years old...probably older.
Back in the day, (about 25 years ago) I did a ride while having an asthma attack. I was famous for a few years for being able to barf off the side of the bike. I learned my lesson! :-(
I'd rate that one pretty damn good! I'd love to find a vintage Raleigh like that one. I keep looking. I can only hope...
247!!! :-( aaarrrggghhh!!! I gained a few pounds back! :-(
Gotta' stop eating those peanuts!!!!!
LOL! I got those plates in 1982! :)
My guess is that it's a late 70s or early 80s bike, judging by the forks and emblem. Hard to tell without more pictures.
One of these days I have to get down there to ride with you folks. I live way over on the west side, by Ballona Creek, but I'll make the trek inland one of these days to meet you folks....
Moron is the right word for folks like that. I live across from Ballona Creek, and my kids have been taught from day one NEVER to get near that damn thing.
Pictures look fine to me. Nice bike!
245!! Argh!!! Gained a pound or two back. It's been raining all damn week!
I had some of those years ago. Unfortunately, I broke them. They never really worked for me. Glad you had better luck with them.
I'd be checking my shorts after that!
Looks like my beagle....always grumpy!!!!! :)
I used trail-a-bikes for years, with no problems. I even had one with two seats on it, which I sometimes pulled with our adult tandem. No problem at all, but, when I sold it to a friend of mine, he...
Great thread and pictures. Thanks for posting. I almost missed the fact that you had a HEART ATTACK seven weeks ago! Congratulations on a marvelous comeback.
NO s**t! That was some years ago, but I guy I worked with was riding at lunch time, and some punks pulled up and threw a brick at him. Hit him in the head! Fortunately, the guy was ok.
