Nice bike, but the longest chainstays are 47cm, and only on the 64. All the others are 45.5 or 44.

Aaron, yours like this is one of your favorites, right? What do you like about it?

Is the bb pressed in? What are the options for replacement if/when needed?

And this one is no exception. I've always heard that the Armadillo tires ride like bricks, but it's really smooth on that bike. Same with the Resist Nomads I had on at one time.

It will be a lot of personal preference, really, as you could use anything from a tri bike to a hybrid. Being in Ohio I'd assume you'd want fenders (maybe), so eyelets would be good. Rack mounts...

I agree. These guys usually have a pretty good sense of humor in the videos and I think this one was done in that spirit as well.

But most of what people have mentioned here are more like 46cm, not 36. If your magic number is 50cm then these bikes get you closer to that than the Arvon anyway. So what's the problem with those? ...

Surly's geo chart for the LHT shows 46cm. I was surprised, I thought they'd be longer, too.

I have a Schwinn High Sierra that has chainstays that look 3 feet long. I measured and they're 46cm.

Applauding stopped. Hand over your man card immediately.

I don't know about vintage models, but my 2009 Raleigh Sojourn is a 57 (56 top tube), has all the braze-ons, and I've fit 700x45 tires on it with no clearance problems. But the chainstays are 46cm.

Thanks! I'm sure I left out some details but tried to cover most of it. I still need to update everything with exact measurements.

Same here. Despite all my belly aching about it so far, I think it's cool! I like the segmented stays and fork.

    4) 1985 Schwinn Voyageur
This is also my wife's bike. It was meant to be her grocery, town bike but she never uses it. It's rougher cosmetically than the Miyata but is otherwise in good shape. I...

    3) 1985 Miyata 610
This is my wife's bike (obviously) and we haven't done much to it. We added Nitto Noodle bars, 9 speed barcons (used in friction mode), Tektro brake levers, and an Origin 8 stem...

    2) 1983 23.5" Schwinn Voyageur SP. I'm not completely sure I want to let this one go, depends on the interest I guess.
There are several possible options on this one. I have the stock components all...

The purge continues. My wife and I have a lot of overlap in our bike hoard so some of them need to find new homes. PM me with any questions.

    Hubs, headsets, & rims!

I was going to use these rims and the XT hubs to build a sturdy set of wheels for the tandem. I never got around to it so now it all needs to be gone.
For pricing, I'm just taking shots in the dark....

What I like is that Littleford has racks that mount to bosses on the sides of the fork crown, like on my '83 Voyageur SP (and like the bike above).
What I don't like is the price of those racks.

Yup, I agree. Make the headtube longer and increase the slope on the top tube so it joins it higher. The extended headtube ala some years of the Salsa Casserole just looks odd, too.
