    How about that chain guard?

Sort of an art deco theme and is perfect for that bike, I purchased one this fall at Trexlertown that is a longer and narrower but with a similiar look.

I agree with cb400bill about the pin...

Got this one at a yard sale this summer. Lots of rust on the chrome but Barkeepers Friend and 0000 steel wool helped a lot. Didn't have chainguard but I found one from a 24" wheel bike and adapted...

First lock with red bike looks good, but.....

.......probably within about 30 minutes in some areas the only thing left would be the frame, and the scumbags would probably have damaged that 'cause they couldn't get it!

    No show, just go!

Didn't want to spend a lot of money on this World Sport but the bike had plenty of scratches and surface rust so I stripped it to bare metal. Lugs are about as mundane as humanly possible. Used...

  12. Don't know if....

...its germane to this issue but almost every flat I've ever had is the back tire. 3000 mostly road miles on my newest bike and 5 rear flats. Front tire still looks like new and I had to replace...

  15. That's what I figured.

It's an early-80's ratcheting design, which featured nice castings just like Shimano's "deer-head" version of XT shifters.

Both company's were offering the pinnacle of friction thumb shifters...
  16. Like these shifters

Here are some SunTour Sport ratcheted ones on a Soma "Oxford" bar on my 1985 Sekai Bigfoot.

The stupidity and sloth evident in many listings never ceases to amaze me!

Sellers who can't correctly spell Schwinn even though it is written in many places on the bike.

Sellers with dirty bikes and flat tires. Would take all of 10 minutes to pump em' up and hose it...

Much good info in this thread

Especially relating to the original build, i.e., check all bearings for lube and proper adjustment. I've seen target and wally world bikes with forks on backwards, brakes hitting tires when applied,...

I thought it was funny it lasted more than 1 episode

Watched it for a few minutes once or twice and that twangy guitar crap between scenes and the canned laughter tracks at the slightest hint of something not even remotely funny drove me up the wall. ...

Retired so I don't communite anymore

But I still ride in the dark sometimes, especially when the days are wicked hot and the night brings a cool breeze. Was curious how well the refective tire strips worked so I took a photo.
