WOW! What a beautiful bike!
Agree! I made a New Year promise to myself to sell all bikes I do not ride. Someone can take them outside abd enjoy them.
My personal deflategate has been the huge number of flats I am experiencing this winter.
The streets and bike paths must be full of small sharp objects.
Maybe the tires are more prone to puncture...
That's a great bike. Great Bike! In Central Ohio we have frame builders who would replace a tube. The Trek 720 is 531 steel. I am pretty sure tubing is available. Can you ask the seller to pay...
You can consider this. I would sell it to you for $125 + Shipping - without the wheels and saddle. It is a 57 or 58.
It has been professionally tuned,...
Thank you for checking on the Trek.
The Trek is 62 cm from the center of the bottom bracket to the center of the top tube?
If so, I would definately be interested.
I have been watching these for years. I hope you buy it and enjoy it! When I find one in that shape in my size for $400, I will.
I voted for the Suntour Cyclone GT, but am very excited (thank you to a BF Member) to be riding a Trek 720 with the Huret this Spring!
Aren't you all a little skeptical of some of the posts?
Dayton Ohio Area
Oakwoood to the University of Dayton, to the River downtown, to Beavercreek, then home.
Wow - was it ever windy.
Thank goodness my wife made some new cocoa, peanut butter,...
How can we know that a bike just is............perhaps we Kant know...........
Agree with PedalTraveler. Blessing. Perfect or near perfect bikes are a blessing. Ride them thought! Ride them only on sunny days if you must, but ride them. I am trying to get rid of all bikes...
Agreed. I am still riding the larger frame - but it does feel too large. No matter the adjustments.
I have a 24" 500, and the fit is perfect. I will keep riding the larger 520 until I find a...
I have a beautiful Trek 520 that is 25, or 25.5 inches. I need the same frame in 24".
(It is the model with side pull brakes, no canti's.)
Love the bike, its just a tad tall.
I screwed up a...
I plan to cut down the number of bikes I own to 18 I actually ride, and N+1, the +1 will be a really cool Italian. I resolve to read 3 books on cycling, increase my average speed at least 3 mph. I...
Have a Very Blessed and Happy New Year All!
I am 5 11 and 3/4 and rather large framed.
I have never been full grown and 160.
When I had mono in college I only got to the mid 170's in weight (and looked thin). My best condition was 186,...
I have a beautiful Centurion Ironman, Miami Vice colors, that is a 57 or 58 cm frame, that would likely fit you well. I got the frame from a BF member.
It has been professionally built with...
Thanks to all. The answers, advice and books will provide help for the upcoming season. Here's to 187 and 20 mph at the end of next season!
Thank you Bill. I will get books, read them and follow them.
I am soon to be 52.
I came back to riding 5 years ago from a 25 year absence. Even in my youth, I rode centuries and charity 50/60 mile rides, but never raced. (I ride C&V bikes, but have a fairly...
