They still make it. It works very well VS dogs. Dunno about people. Don't want to find out. (BTW, I like the stuff very much!)
That's a pretty mean looking hole. Don't think it was the tires' fault per se, I bet most would have fallen to whatever you ran over.
Pretty new to the Gatorskin way here. Bought a folding pair...
It's what makes it interesting in a way, what with modern product stepping up to 10-11 speeds. A 7 speed? That's a step back for many. Really curious about the rideability. Have another BD bike that...
Michelin Pro Tek.
I'm old enough to remember when a six speed freewheel was something to brag about! (I still do by the way)
Thanks for your opinion. I disagree. It looks like a nice piece of kit for the beginner. it's good to get more folks out there on two wheels. Left over parts? They look new to me.
While perusing Bikes Direct this morning happened to see this bike for the first time.

It's cool looking, much like my Trek 1.1....
Giant builds darn good bikes. Are you sure you want to commute on a road bike? You could do far worse for a first bike.
I haven't tried liners. Trying to pack those into a skinny 700x23-25 is something that I can't grasp. Always thinking the thing is crooked when installing. I have a pair.. but haven't used them!...
Had a pair of the All Condition Armadillo, which is a wire beaded tire. They were heavy and tough to mount. Harsh riding, they require 115-120 psi. It felt like I had to work much harder to get up to...
Heck of a good backpack. It swallows up a 12 pack like a basking shark eats krill.
Dang! A full 24?? I did a major beer run and stuffed a 12 pack in with ease... REALLY? A case of beer? Too cool!
Then I'd best get to work!
Have you folks actually dared to throw your pack in the washing machine? How were the results?
Total eye candy! And filled with features. Money well spent. The only issue is it's so darn pretty, I dread the first time it gets mucked up.437776
Perhaps the main thing I was thinking about... if warm weather ever arrives that is!
These are packs I hadn't heard of. Never thought about buying a quality pack much before, but my Wal Mart is showing really crusted edges. And Loose threads.
Those look nice!
What happened?? :twitchy:
Meh. Insanity is a relative term in the cycling universe.
99% of people, like the purity of Ivory soap, consider me insane for riding in this weather. (I question their sanity for dealing with...
I'm pretty stoked about it! What type of pack do you use if any?
I did try panniers on my workaday Motobecane. Didn't like it from the gitgo, added tremendous weight to the svelte steel framed road bike. The handling and carrying of the bike went way wonky.
During an Ebay excursion last night dropped serious coin on an Osprey Spin 32. The color is "Hophead Red". It gets good reviews and can carry a lot of stuff.
It's ice. Really easily defined.
No really. Some prefer backpacks.
