"On your left" means little to most peds. Use it only for serious bike riders who know what it means. I now say "passing left side". This gets better results.
The hardest peds to deal with are...
Ohiopyle State Park had hiker/biker sites just off the Great Allegheny Passage.
I miss my Sanyo bottom bottom bracket mounted dynamo!
Start at Pittsburgh to Washington, DC. You will be going more downhill than uphill. April is wet & muddy on the C&O.
+1 on Staehpj1's recommendation on the websites.

That's typical on campuses.
Crowded House song:
But it is useful to someone who has a 1994 trek and thinks it was foreign made. Your's and Hillrider's posts were not adding anything useful.
Some people need to knock off their useless comments.
I love my BarMitts! A couple of handwarmers thrown in and my hands are toasty warm. I have enough room on my flat bar to have my bell outside the BarMitt. But pulling my hand out to use it is too...
I stopped in this bicycle recycler today. I got to go through their equipment drawers. I found three Sram shifters, spd pedals, a skewer, all for 9pounds.

I started my fourth week of commuting to work. It feels great to commute again. I've been biking around campus for 3+ years now but have been putting off commuting because the campus is up a hill...
I've seen raccoons, foxes and a bobcat out there. Hang your food!
I used to have a 52 mile round-trip commute. But there was a large hill 1/3 of the way in that would have severely slowed me & tired me out before I got to work. So I drove to the top of the hill...
i use two FRS radios with ear jacks. 3 AA batteries last a long time. I get why you need to talk to her.
If you have to lock on different racks around campus, leave a ulock on more than one rack lessens what you have to carry around or if you forget a lock at home. I've left ulocks on the racks and...
94 was def. 7 speed SRM shifter. I took the bike out to the GAP the week before and it was great on that trail.
