    Depending on how old the Huffys are, you might be running into some old British sizes. 1-3/8" isn't always 1-3/8". That'd be my best guess. 26"...

    I'm using an old Maillard track hub that has the same axle size, so I didn't have to file the dropouts. However, I did have to spread the fork to accommodate the slightly wider hub.

    I think as long as you don't use WD40 or 3-in-1, you'll probably do just fine. I wouldn't sweat the minutae...it's not as if it's an F1 engine or anything, it just wants to be wet inside.
