30c is wide?
Finally, a fad where I was trendy before it got outdated!
I ran some 650mm bars back in 2007-2008, so much more comfy than any drops I had tried. Currently on 46cm Salsa Woodchippers, which are OK...
Back to some trails I ain't seen since last fall during my weekend....
There are no cars on the trails, If I wreck, it is 100% my blame, no outside circumstances.
Speeds are generally slower on singletrack trails than on a paved surface.
Dirt/grass is often softer...
Escaped the non-stop rain of Denver a few times recently.
Overnighter down south to hit Rhyholite bike park, Oil Well Flats, Pueblo reservoir, and Captain Jack's:...
"Sunday, in the park. I think it was the 31st of May."
Pisgah, mmmm mmmm good!
Escaped the monsoons here & headed a bit south 2 weeks ago:
Hit Rhyolite bike park on the way for a quickie
If they work for you, they're relevant.
Who cares what the masses say.
Depends on BB shell + type of front derailleur.
Met some buddies at Red Rocks for tailgating fun (Mastodon/Clutch), then passed thru Dakota Ridge on my way home.
Too many to remember/mention.
However, the infrequent discourteous/inattentive drivers stand out clearly.
Yeah, get sum!
Spring is in the air...but it felt more like summer in the desert.
Cut about 1/2" off my Karate Monkey frame last winter to accommodate the overly-lengthy T-Mars dropper post.
No worries at all, 7" +/- of post is still in the seat tube.
No, far from it. Coasting through a rocky section, allowing the bike to move around on the rocks gives you much better control.
Spent Saturday riding a smooth sidewalk made of snow.

My plan once I save up the loot.
I've been encountering this issue for the past 2 winters with my Avid Speed Dial levers & BB7 calipers on my mtb.
It sounds similar, when temps dip below the teens (Fahrenheit), I can grab some...
Fastest (non-pro) rider I know used to MTB fixed, and it was insane to ride his rear wheel going down the techy, chunky stuff.
He switched to coastie mode a few years back, and said he's staying...
Makes it even easier, squeeze your rear brake till you skid.
Where're all the fatbikes?
I wait till temps drop below 30f, or else I burn up wearing them.
My ears are ringing w/everyone tossing around the words 'lube' & 'lubes'.
Knock it off!
