It's definitely a 1R.
Thanks, that's a great idea.
Just about any condition will do. Thanks! :thumb:
Love this idea. And that's a great price!
Great transaction with Henry III
No. I would consider returning that.
That Raleigh is fantastic!
Well, it's definitely a Pinarello, definitely with replacement decals, possibly re-painted. My guess is it's from the early '80s - aside from some chroming differences it looks very similar to mine...
The 15 in two different 3/8" socket sets I've owned have both worked. Latest one is a cheap Craftsman.
I use a PB wrench now though, because Campy :o :twitchy:
The orange De Rosa Primato posted here a week back is going to go for surprisingly cheap on eBay. It was up for a week at $800 with no reserve, a $1250 Buy It Now, $85 shipping and free shipping in...
Agreed - in fact, it looks like the museum had it for sale at some point. It's also possible that the seller just pulled pictures of a similar bike for the ad. But it adds (added) to the fishiness of...
I'll put in the DVD later and see if it ever comes into focus.
I haven't seen it in a while, but it used to be one of my favorite movies.
I'm working on an 8 speed build, so I've been looking into the differences between 8 speed components closely.
Those levers are 1st gen ergo, used in both Record and Chorus groups from '92-94. I...
Just got back. Had a really fun time! My favorite swap I've been to in the Bay area so far.
I'll be selling a bunch of nice C&V parts at the Alameda swap on Sunday! Campagnolo, Cinelli etc. for well below eBay prices.
The event sounds really fun, and I was happy to pay the vendor fee to...
+1, the chainstay bridge also makes me doubt SLX.
Anyone else care to comment on this? I'm getting close to the bottom of my Mobil 1 tub after ~5 years.
This is the most Grant bike I've ever owned:
Picked up this 1992 RB-1 from the original owner earlier this week. He turned it into a town bike with a pretty funny mix of high-end parts, including a Look Ergostem, nuke proof 7 speed cassette...
Yep. Those are fresh 25c's pictured. Not sure whether I prefer them or the 23's, but both are fantastic.
130 BCD double crankset which takes a ~113mm JIS BB. Shimano 600, Dura-Ace, Superbe Pro would all work. Looking for a 39 tooth small ring.
GB stem ~110mm
Nitto 176 bars 42cm
Looks like a generic freewheel hub.
Would love to see more pictures, especially a straight-on driveside, if possible. I have the same bike in blue.
Lots of great bikes posted lately!
Cool bike. Looks like a late '80s Montello. Does it have Pinarello dropouts? Old Yeller has a very similar one posted on page one of this thread, and I also have one I'm in the process of restoring....
