I love my 1.5L Bodim Columbia.
I leave my bike outside for a convenience store stop, but never stop in questionable areas. Grocery stores and my favorite post-ride pub tell me to bring the bike inside.
bike fit is more important than the difference in the frame material of those 2 bikes.
Neither one is a very high end frame, but from simply looking at the stock photos, they are going to fit...
+1. Without knowing what frames you are considering?
Pretty much the same here, but 2 tubes+CO2 cartridges, and my wallet also goes in the jersey pocket.
Nearly every solo ride is at 86 RPMs, fast group rides are around 94 rpms.
I wouldn't call that insane. It's better than I could do for sure, but I've seen many better video clips.
I freeze one 25oz bottle solid with a 1:1 sports drink and water mix, and 1 Nuun tablet. The other bottle is water/ice with 1.5 Nuun tablets. In Phoenix summer heat, this will last about 2 hours. I...
It was great, but it definitely created some bad habits.
Breakfast was 3 eggs, 4-6oz of meat, a large potato, and sometimes a bowl of sugary cereal(and a French pot of coffee). That's about 1200...
Probably because I'm still eating like I was when riding 300-350 miles a week.
I'm doing well, Thanks for asking. My doctor told me to expect hernia issues after 6-12 months, but 18 months later everything seems to be fine.
I've been riding a little less due to work(150-200...
I don't know who you are, but all the cyclists I know use CamelBak insulated bottles.
Nope, not even a tiny bit.
I don't know anyone that uses anything other than those.
no cap under helmet.
i really have no idea if it's a fit issue with the shoes, but I used to have foot pain issues, and custom insoles + shoes solved that problem.
Hydration is more than just drinking enough water....
Try a different saddle, or even just re-install the same one after cleaning the clamp area.
Mock me if you want, but I'm try to eliminate a problem without spending a boatload of money.
My recommendation may not help, but it won't cost much to try.
Foot cramps are usually a fit...
Foot cramps might be caused by fit, but it could also be a hydration issue.
Hydration issues are easy and cheap to fix. I'd try that first.
Gatorade/Powerade is crap.
It has worked wonders for me.
Also sip it regularly. If you crush a bunch of fluid, instead of sipping constantly, the fluid doesn't absorb like it...
drink lots, and from my experience, water isn't enough.
Nuun has eliminated all of my cramping issues, and they used to be a major problem.
a visor works well for many folks, and I'm sure they never notice it making them slower.
I don't use one because it would limit my forward vision when riding in the drops.
If you have an...
Visors require a more head up position to see well. It's not a problem on mountain bikes, or road bikes with little to no saddle-handlebar drop.
20 mph, is always 20 mph. The visor makes you very slightly less aero, unless you are trying to shave a few seconds off a time over a set course like a 40k TT, the difference isn't worth worrying...
You aren't the only one that thinks about this stuff.
