Would this 10-speed link work on my 9-speed chains?
>Your 45NRTH chain was made by Yaban (YBN). I'm not sure who made/what links 45NRTH had with them - they are discontinued now.
Wow, I've been away awhile, but I can't resist a "junk you find" thread and a chance to post a picture.
Here's a photo taken with the camera I found during a ride. It's actually the...
A few days ago, while mashing up a big hill, my chain fell off. The master link was gone, so I assume it broke or fell off (I couldn't find it). Luckily I had a chain break tool in my pack (Yay,...
Man, have I been AWOL! I've been riding but not posting.
Months ago I asked for some help writing a cycling-related scene in the sci-fi book I was writing. Well, the book has now been published,...
Back in May, my paraffin-lubed chain got soaked while on the trunk rack in a rainstorm. I was sure that it would need re-lubing right away, and posted about it here:
I have a pair of Shimano SH-M 120G shoes that look like this:
If I make them nice and tight, my feet get tingly and sometimes painful towards the end of the ride....

One of you must have been uncomfortable.
I have a long 15% grade on my standard ride. I always stand up for the entire hill ('cause I'm that macho. jk).
By standing, I mean that I just put my weight on the high pedal, and let my weight...
I have actually worked on this problem for a long time. I have a standard sixty mile route that I ride at least once a week, so it's been good for experimentation. Here are the factors that I find...
Kingfishr, you couldn't have set that up better if you'd spent hours arranging it.
This cow from yesterday's ride seemed unimpressed.
Anyone know what these hatch marks mean?
Great, as usual. Did you modify the color balance or saturation in this image?
My daughter moved to Denver yesterday. She's unpacking right now. She's going to love it.
>>Did you have a rear view mirror? Or just the camera?
>Camera only...the mirrors have always been a distraction to me...but I think I may try that again.
I ride in that situation...
These photos are brought to you by my new policy: Always take the camera.
Yesterday I found it was easy to pack this stuff into gelatin capsules. I took four with me on my ride, and it worked fine to just take one now and then.
Anyone who says "Pics or it didn't happen" will be banned.
I got one of these:
Combo Cable Bike Lock
at Harbor Freight. Not...
Communist flag factory?
Here's a "No, the horse isn't mistreated" sign from my ride.
Did my 60 miler the other day, but with a rare South wind. What a treat to have a push on the last 15 miles. It makes all the difference.
Moving time: 4:49 and total elapsed time 5:14. Average moving speed: 12.6 MPH. Elevation 3,884.
I'm just not very fast, and never was, no matter what I ate.
Well, after one drive-and-ride trip, I'm back to riding from home. It's just a nicer feel.
I have two blinkies. I do use a mirror on my helmet that works fine, but I don't check out each...
