Anyone ever use a TA with a current Campy or Shimano 10 speed? I have a really nice TA crank I pulled off an 1982 Stumpjumper. It's looking for a new home.

    Shellac and padded bar tape

For all the experts, can you wrap cotton tape on top of. Some kind of padding and then shellac? Usually I just use cork tape. This time I want to try something different. Better to ask before I wrap.
