By coincidence, I just ordered a copy, it should arrive in a few days. I am guessing I already espouse several of his ideas and my bikes reflect it (poor man's Rivendells of sorts).
I guess I too...
I agree, however, on this bike the seat is slid fairly forwards on the rails. If he runs a setback post he may not have enough forward adjustment to place the seat in the current position.
TIG, Like fusion gas welding only with an electric torch. Hope you enjoy it.
Cool. So you disassembled a freewheel and removed its cog along with the internals, then you brazed on a coaster style cog. That is a great way to make a fixed cog when you can't source one. I...
I guess at some point they started with a track bike and didn't modify it much. they just flipped the bars and changed the seat.
^^ This. The only time you might want more tire in the front is on surfaces with really poor traction like mud. The idea would be for the rear to "wash out" first, since having the rear wheel skid...

thanks for the link.
Congratulations, i would love to hear more about your adventure or at least some pictures.
very cool use of that Banksy.
Reminds me of this
 However, all those pointy bits make me cringe with thought of a hamburger grinder.
I wonder if a NDS pic is acceptable when you have disk brakes.
Must refrain from making a joke about an electric bathing suit.
I find this to be so true on some bikes. It can be a really cool top cap or an unusual front hub. That stem/bar combo would certainly qualify.
Let us know how you like it.
What size did you get?
That is actually clever way of expressing it, and congratulations on your raise.
Did you need a proportional number of "nature breaks"?
Oh, nevermind, I see what you mean about a dedicated track bike.
Ass rockets it is then.
I think he meant to attach it to the down tube or the seat tube, you know, where cages usually go.
