I've had one for over a year - it's solid. Never had issue with the components, and most importantly it got me home somehow when I was stuck riding in a Derecho last year. :-)

I'm very fond of mine - I love the matte black and color scheme.

I would check the saddle angle - if it's tilting forward too much it would be shifting your body forward and putting more pressure on your wrists/hands.
Been incredibly busy and slightly neglectful of the new toy, but so far I've got Ergon GR2 Grips on, an alloy cage, and changed the stock tires for some Vittoria Rubino's (wow, what a huge difference...

I also live in an area where bikes and biking aren't particularly popular - so there isn't much of a demand.
I've ridden a 7100 (now for sale) for the past year and found it very upright and comfortable. The problem has to be with setup/position.
