Try Shimano M520 in silver
Did anyone ever come back and say that the liners sucked like one of the posters above? I have used them for years and haven't had a flat. Never rubbed holes in my tubes.
This nails it. Well said.
What do you think of those Vuelta SLR wheels?
Maybe lube the chain too.
You're getting plenty of good advice on food and hydration. My wife and I have done 8 century rides in the last 3 years along with many shorter rides. I'm sure others will chime in about their...
:thumb:Drope it big time!!!!
More concerned about staying warm in a cold shower. Have been caught in several thunderstorms and just a little jacket would have been better than just skin and a jersey. Understand that I will get...
Looking for suggestions for rain jackets to pack on the bike for warm weather 70+ degrees just in case we get caught in a shower. Yes, I searched threads on this forum but want to ask what all of you...
It's a nice gig for the editors, writers, staff, etc. They get to play with all of the new stuff. Good for them. Exp. Here's some free 8-10k bikes. Ride them and tell everyone how much you love them....
I posted twice in this thread about things I don't like about this magazine and after thinking about it I could say generally about the same things about all of the magazines I get. There might be...
Didn't say boo about the Tour de France while it was going on. What's with the "Greatest love in cycling"? Why can't they just show average cyclists and what they contend with? Always something out...
I have a subscription also. They have a little bit of everything in there. Most I'm not interested in. You are right about the expensive bikes. On most group rides I never see anyone on those...
Last big ride I had a Specialized helmet, Bontrager jersey, Pearl Izumi shorts, no-name socks and Shimano shoes on a Trek bike. Everyone else around me was wearing bits and pieces too. Who cares!
Flash - I'm running a 10 speed SRAM 12-32 PG1070 cassette on my Trek Madone 4.5 with an Ultegra GS rear derailleur and a 50/34. Works great. jsjcat
Great post! I even think hosing and soaping bikes down isn't really a good idea. The bearings aren't protected very well from water.
My wife can give "Cross Chaining" classes. That's how she rides. I'll let you tell her how to shift - I tried once!
Let's see - I left the brim on my helmet - the sun is not my friend.
I put a mirror on my helmet - so I can easily see behind.
I leave the caps on my tubes - cause I...
13.1 and 26.2 I understand. 5K - come on, that's not cool!
Do you stop at intersections too?
I was looking for a phrase to put on my new Road ID and I think I found it - "Drope the hamer"
cicatrize, Are you still happy with your new wheels?
Indeed! I like your new commercials too! When I was a kid many decades ago, a Colonel chicken meal was a true feast!! We didn't get out much.
ColonelSanders quit eating that chicken and drop a few pounds! Then you can run heavy skewers.
I don't know. If the red was brighter I don't know how it would look with the yellow decals on your bike. I have some Bontrager Race Lites that are very subdued and they look OK. Nice looking bike,...
